British fashion label Kering, in partnership with London College of Fashion, will launch the world’s first open-access online course dedicated to the crosshairs of sustainability and luxury fashion. Titled “Fashion and Sustainability: Understanding Luxury Fashion in a Changing World,” the course will explore the major hurdles of the fashion industry over a six-week program, completely open to the public.

“People need to realise that sustainability is an opportunity, not a constraint,”  Marie-Claire Daveu, Kering’s chief sustainability officer, told Business of Fashion.  “It’s a chance to be optimistic, because you can make wonderful products while taking care of people and the planet. The solution does exist.”

Registration for the course is available here, with the first 6-week edition to begin on April 9, 2018.
