The New Must-Have Tool for Online Shopping
New technology is making it easier than ever to make better purchasing decisions and save money while you’re at it. New browser extension DoneGood is aiming to guide shoppers to better alternatives when shopping online.
DoneGood works to promote brands that support one or more of the following categories: “eco-friendly,” “give back,” “empower workers,” “keep it non-toxic,” “make it in the USA,” “offer vegan/cruelty free,” “use organic/GMO free” and “support diversity.”
While online shopping, the extension works silently in the background to alert you if the site you’re browsing is DoneGood approved. The extension flags alternative brands to support if you are currently eyeing an item from a brand that is not supported. For example, while shopping for a dress from Anthropology, the extension flagged alternative clothing brand Raven + Lily, who is a certified B-corporation and fair trade, that has a similar aesthetic to Anthropology. It also provided a $20 dollar off code to seal the deal.
