Fashion Re-seller ThredUP just served Burberry in Open Letter

In an annual report released in June, luxury British brand Burberry acknowledged "the cost of finished goods physically destroyed in the year was £28.6m (about $37.8 million), including £10.4m of destruction for beauty inventory."  This comes as no surprise to many in the fashion industry; fashion houses feel the need to destroy their unsold goods to keep them from being sold on unregulated markets, to protect proprietary designs, and to ensure the designer goods remain exclusive and limited.

Online re-seller ThredUP had a few choice words for the company, posted in an open letter on Instagram.
